Stress. That has been my week. Lots going on at the office, y’all. And I had to attend events after work pretty much every evening this week. The only saving grace has been my mom. She has been staying with us for the past week and making our dinners every night. And unloading the dishwasher. And doing laundry. Oh, and did I mention she took Hallie school supply shopping for me? Thanks, mom! But, she is going back home to Ohio on Sunday. So this weekend we are taking her to a Nashville staple to end her time with us. Let’s get to it!
We are so excited that our close friends from Memphis are coming for a visit tonight! We miss them so much and can’t wait to catch up with them and their kids. We are so looking forward to it.
It’s time to get back on the trail. It’s been pretty hot, so I have been running on the treadmill inside the Y. But I plan to hit my old favorite running route this week. I wrote about this greenway trail a few weeks ago.
We lived in Memphis for 11+ years. When my parents visited, we always took them out for our favorite barbecue. (Shout out to Central BBQ.) But it’s time to try something new. Nashville is known for “hot chicken.” It is exactly what it sounds like. Hot. Chicken. We can’t wait to take my parents to Hattie B’s on Saturday so they can experience this phenomenon. Plus, it’s just a cool place to experience a slice of life in Nashvegas.
What are you doing this weekend? Let me know in the comments below.
