First off, this week’s “Tuesdays on the Run” post is a “Thursdays on the Run” post.
Yes, it’s been that kind of week.
This is always the case the week before I go on vacation. All the planning, packing, preparing. It gets in the way of everyday life. (And blogging!)
Speaking of vacation, that is where I am starting this post. This week’s topic is “scenes from my run,” so why not start with scenery from the most magical place I can think of: Walt Disney World! Check out this former post for more on running around the Happiest Place on Earth.
Then there are the runDisney races. Talk about some scenery! Here are some shots from the 2017 Enchanted 10K and Princess Half Marathon.
But as much as I’d love to run at Walt Disney World every week, I do most of my running on the Harpeth River Trail in Bellevue, our suburban neighborhood in west Nashville. It’s a lovely trail. Fairly flat. Partially shaded. Hugs the river. We really have some great parks and trails in Nashville and we are blessed to live very close to one. (Maybe that’s the reason everyone is moving to Nashville!) Here’s a look at my usual 3-mile run (1.5 out and back).
